South Tyrol's biathlon stronghold Anterselva - Antholz will be the venue for the biathlon competitions. With sprint, individual, pursuit, mass start and relay - spectators in the Südtirol Arena can look forward to the unique atmosphere that fans from all over the world have appreciated for years - and fabulous views of the surrounding mountains. And when the local competitors take their places at the starting line, it will not just be the biathlon centre in Anterselva that will be buzzing, but the entire Val Pusteria. The first competition in biathlon will be held on 8 February 2026.
How to get to Anterselva
By car to Anterselva:
coming from the A 22 Brennero motorway, take the SS49 Val Pusteria national road towards Val Pusteria, drive past Brunico in the direction of San Candido and turn left after the village of Valdaora into the Valle di Anterselva. The biathlon centre is located at the head of the valley, just before Lago di Anterselva.
Coming from East Tyrol (Lienz), take the B100 Drautalstraße towards Italy, at the border crossing to Sillian continue on the Strada Statale 49 della Pusteria towards Brunico and after Monguelfo-Tesido or before the village of Valdaora turn right towards Anterselva.
With public transport to Anterselva:
there are regular connections from Valdaora and Brunico to the Valle di Anterselva all year round.
Competition venues and disciplines in the Belluno Dolomites
Cortina d'Ampezzo will host several disciplines at once: in addition to the women's alpine ski race, the curling competitions will also take place in Cortina. The first curling competition is scheduled for 4 February 2026, while the women's alpine skiing competitions are expected to start on 7 February. In addition, the ice channel in Cortina is being renovated in time for this sport event so that the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge races can also take place there.
How to get to Cortina
By car to Cortina:
coming from the A 22 Brennero motorway, take the Strada Statale 49 della Pusteria to Dobbiaco and then take the first exit at the first roundabout and follow the signs to Cortina. From Dobbiaco approx. 30 km.
Coming from East Tyrol (Lienz), take the B100 Drautalstraße towards Italy, at the border crossing to Sillian continue on the Strada Statale 49 della Pusteria towards Dobbiaco and at the third roundabout in Dobbiaco take the third exit and continue following the signs to Cortina.
By public transport to Cortina:
buses run to Cortina d'Ampezzo from Dobbiaco bus and train stations all year round.
Competition venues and disciplines in the Trentino Dolomites
These are the two villages Tesero and Predazzo in Val di Fiemme, where the Nordic combined, ski jumping and all cross-country skiing competitions will take place in the Trentino Dolomites during the international sporting event 2026. The medal competition will start on 7 February in the ski jumping arena in Predazzo and the cross-country stadium in Tesero. Interesting to know about cross-country skiing: in 2026, for the first time in the history of this event, men and women will be competing over the same distances.
How to get to Val di Fiemme - Tesero and Predazzo
By car to Val di Fiemme:
coming from both the north and the south, we recommend taking the A22 Brennero motorway to the Egna exit. After the toll booth, turn right onto the Strada Statale 49 della Pusteria towards Cavalese/Val di Fiemme. It is about 29 kilometres to Tesero and a further 10 kilometres to Predazzo.

The international Para sports event in winter 2026will take place from 6 to 15 March 2026 beginning with an opening celebration in the historic Arena di Verona. More than 600 athletes are expected to compete in six sports across 79 medal events. Competitions will be held at several venues in northern Italy, including:
